The Huge Difference Between Budget And Collection Of The Kashmir Files Will Blow Your Mind

The recently released film The Kashmir Files directed by Vivek Agnihotri has been making the headlines since it has seen the day of light. The multi-starrer film is doing amazing at the box office. The box office collection of director Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ is about to cross the 150 Crore mark in just a week of its release. But do you know that it was made under a very low budget? 

The film’s budget was 18 Crore INR, and according to film analyst and critic Taran Adarsh, the critically acclaimed film has broken records held by previous Bollywood blockbusters pre- and post-pandemic. On March 17, Thursday, the film analyst took to Twitter to compare The Kashmir Files’ performance on Day 6 to that of other post and pre Covid releases.

The film which stars Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi among others is based on true stories about Kashmiri Pandits. It takes viewers back to 1989, when conflict erupted in Kashmir as a result of rising Islamic Jihad, forcing the vast majority of Hindus to flee the valley.

The film has been doing wonders in the theaters. Undoubtedly, it has been creating havoc and demolishing box office records. As the collection is growing day by day and even showing growth on the non-week days.

Now, it has been speculated that the movie will soon reach 150 crores. The movie is expected to maintain its momentum in its second week of release as well.
