As per the media reports, the shooting for The Witcher season 3 began earlier this year. Meanwhile, Netflix, during TUDUM, announced that The Witcher season 3 will air somewhere in the summer of 2023. The Witcher Season 3: What’s New?
In the second season, Yennefer sacrificed her own life at the end, in order to release Ciri from the Deathless Mother. On the other hand, Ciri’s father, the Nilfgaardian Emperor Emhyr, is the man who comes to capture her. However, his motives for being with her aren’t pure, thus we can anticipate a huge brawl between Geralt of Rivia and Emhyr. Moreover, the plot is going to be something amazing, and may also take an unexpected turn!
On the other hand, the third season of The Witcher will also feature some new cast members. The role of Milva, who was raised by the Dryads, will be played by Meng’er Zhang, the actress from Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Similarly, Robbie Amell from The Flash will also be a part of The Witcher season 3’s cast as Gathelatin, the leader of a guerilla army on Nilfgaard’s side.
Likewise, Hugh Skinner, who played Fleabag on the Fleabag series, will play Radovid, brother of King Vizimir, on The Witcher season 3. Furthermore, The Witcher: Blood Origin will give fans enough to talk about even if the third season of The Witcher’s trailer has yet to be released. It shows what happened 1200 years before The Witcher’s event took place. Its scheduled release date is December 25, 2022. The series’ official summary reads:
“Every story has a beginning. Witness the untold history of the Continent with The Witcher: Blood Origin, a new prequel series set in an elven world 1200 years before the events of The Witcher. Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time – exploring the creation of the first prototype Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal “Conjunction of the Spheres,” when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one. The Witcher: Blood Origin will be released in 2022, only on Netflix.”
Though the trailer of season 3 is not released yet, as expected, it would premier in the summer season of 2023. However, amidst this, The Witcher: Blood Origin is something the fans would love to watch!
