Background of the Case

The murder took place on Friday, when three assailants on motorcycles fatally shot Mangat Rai Manga near his home in Punjab’s Moga district. Police have attributed the killing to personal rivalry.

Manga was attacked while out on his scooter to buy milk. He tried to evade the gunfire but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. During the incident, two others, including an 11-year-old boy, were also injured. In response to the assassination, Shiv Sena leaders called for a shutdown in Moga town as a mark of protest.

The investigation into the case remains ongoing as authorities gather further evidence.
