The upcoming Bollywood movie Darlings is ready to be released on OTT Platform Netflix. The film stars Alia Bhatt, Vijay Varma and Shefali Shah in the leading roles.
Earlier the makers had made headlines when the one-minute-forty-seconds long teaser dropped on YouTube. It grabbed everyone’s attention and made us all eagerly wait for the trailer. Now, the makers of Darlings have finally dropped the film’s trailer and have left the fans awestruck.
The trailer of Darlings opens with Vijay Varma playing Hamza Shaikh confessing that he truly loves his wife Badrunissa (Alia Bhatt) but he has decided to leave her. This is followed by Badrunissa and her mother filing a missing complaint for Hamza. Later, in a scene, Hamza is seen abusing his wife, and Badrunissa in return states that she will now treat Hamza like he has been treating her for years.

This story surely seems very mysterious and full of thrilling secrets. Also, Darlings is a dark comedy movie, hence you can expect power-packed humor in it. Coming to the credits, the film is very special for Alia Bhatt. Not only because she has acted in this, but she is also marking her debut as a producer with Darlings. Yes, Darlings is co-produced by Alia Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions and Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
Alia took it to her Instagram account and also shared her excitement through a post in which she shared the trailer of the film. And in the caption, she quoted, “My first film as a producer!!! So excited nervous thrilled emotional to share it with you!!!! DARLINGS TRAILER OUT NOW!.”

The film is directed by Jasmeet K Reen who is also marking her directorial debut with this project. She has been associated with Bollywood projects like Pati Patni Aur Woh, Force 2 and more as a writer.
The makers have described the story of Darlings in YouTube description as, “Badru, a strong-minded woman and her mother decide to take matters in her own hands when it comes to Badru’s husband Hamza. What follows next is a hilarious comedy jo thodi dark hain!”
