Jogi To Bring Back The Cruel & Heart Wrenching Scenarios From 1984

Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming movie Jogi has been on our watchlist since the time it was announced. We watched its teaser a few days ago and were actually moved. And now, the makers have finally released the full-fledged trailer of this upcoming and highly anticipated project.

Jogi’s trailer opens with a heartwarming scene of a Sikh family having breakfast together. It then went on to tease a beautiful love story between Diljit Dosanjh and Amyra Dastur. And within seconds it then shifts to the horrific situation that 1984 is remembered for to date. Yes, we are talking about the 1984 riots. We can see violence all around, and in the hard situation, a police officer who seems to be Jogi’s friend asks him to leave the capital with his family. But to this, Jogi replies by stating that he will stand by his family.

The trailer has heart-wrenching scenarios of burning homes, violence, hatred, and thousands of emotions. It is intense, dark and too heavy for faint-hearted people. The makers of Jogi have put all their heart, sweat and soul into making this project, and we are saying this because the trailer narrates the same.

Also, if you have been watching Diljit Dosanjh making everyone go ROFL by most of his roles in popular movies like Good Newwz, Honsla Rakh, and more, in Jogi, you will get to see a very intense and emotional side of Diljit as an actor. Also, this is the first time when Diljit has faced the camera without a turban or covering his hair.

Fans will also get to watch a hard-hitting scene where Diljit will be seen chopping off his long hair in an attempt to get saved from the deadly attacks. And the people who have seen the 1984 riots happening, or have at least heard about them from someone close know that this (chopping off hair) was something many people did to save their lives.

We are 100% convinced and eager to watch the film as soon as possible. Jogi will stream on Netflix on 16 September 2022. From Diljit Dosanjh’s performance, emotional and heart-wrenching story, events based on real life, and great cinematography and direction, we are all excited for Jogi for all the good reasons.

Recently, Ali Abbas Zafar expressed how grateful he is to have Diljit Dosanjh in his project. He stated, “It’s a film based on reality, on real events. The most important part of the film was that it had to be told with full authenticity so that it looks real. We are very fortunate we got Diljit. Having Diljit as a part of the film’s story makes it more justifiable. We shot the film in the Covid-19 pandemic during the first lockdown. It was difficult but we did it.”
