Civan Canova Death Reason! How Did The Turkish Actor Died?

A heartbreaking and shocking news has come from the Turkish entertainment industry. Famous Turkish actor, playwright, and theater director, Civan Canova passed away on August 20, 2022. His death was announced by the actress Esra Dermancolu which broke everyone.

Demise of the veteran Turkish actor has saddened the whole country. Canova fans are in shock after the news of his death broke out. Civan was hospitalized for the past several months after he was diagnosed with lung’s cancer. He battled back lung cancer for a very long time but in the end he lost life at the age of 67.

Three weeks prior to his death, Civan also posted a video for his fans and friends on his instagram handle. In the video, he can be seen wearing an oxygen mask and in poor health. He updated about his health which broke the hearts of his fans, who were praying for his speedy recovery but the superstar is gone now…

Civan Canova was the son of a Turkish director Mahir Canova. He started his acting career by making his cinematic debut in Yılmaz Güney’s movie Arkadaş in 1974. In the same year, Civan enrolled in the Ankara State Conservatory’s Theater Department. In 1978, he joined the crew of Turkish State Theatres. Civan was married to actress Açelya Akkoyun.

Ahmet Civan Canova, commonly known as Civan Canova, was a very famous Turkish cinema and TV actor, screenwriter, playwright, and theater director. Canova has written numerous brilliant plays such as ‘Düğün Şarkısı’, ‘Erkekler Tuvaleti’, ‘Evaristo’, ‘Ful Yaprakları’, ‘Gala’, ‘Kör Buluşma’ & many more.

Not only the plays he has also been integral part of many Turkish movies such as ‘Arkadaş (1974)’,’Nehir (1977)’, ‘Yaşamak Bu Değil (1981)’,’Mutlu Ol Yeter (1981)’, ‘Berduşlar (1982)’, ‘Yıkılan Gurur (1983)’ & many other.

Civan Canova was a famous face of Turkish TV shows. He was a part of ‘Yalancı Şafak (1990)’, ‘Bizim Aile (1995)’, ‘Çiçek Taksi (2000)’, ‘Gece Yürüyüşü (2004)’, ‘Çeşm-i Bülbül (2005)’, ‘Esir Kalpler (2006)’, ‘Arka Sokaklar (2007)’, ‘Eksik Etek (2007)’, ‘Sınıf (2008) & many other shows.

Civan Canova has won many awards and recognition for his work in the Turkish Entertainment Industry. In 2011, Civan was honored with the best actor of the year award at the Afifa Theater Awards for his performance in the play “Bury the Dead”. He had also won Best Supporting Actor Award for Eve Dönüş 

43rd Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival in 2006.
