The brutal murder of tailor Kanhaiya Lal in Rajasthan’s Udaipur has tensed the situation across the state. While the opposition in Rajasthan has been continuously lashing out at the Gehlot government over the law and order situation of the state, the government has assured to take strict action against the culprits who have been arrested.

As per the repo of Times of India, MoS for home Rajendra Singh Yadav has said that Gaus Mohammed, one of the accused in the brutal murder of Kanhaiya Lal, was associated with a terrorist organisation and had undergone training  in 2014-15 in Pakistan. Amidst this, the MHA has handed over the case to the NIA.

As per the reports, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has registered a case in the matter and its team has reached Udaipur. Both the culprits brutally murdered tailor Kanhaiya Lal after his 8-year-old son posted in favour of suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma on Facebook. All the political parties have vehemently condemned the gruesome incident, demanding a fair probe.

Meanwhile, CM Ashok Gehlot headed a high level meeting on the matter. CM Gehlot said, “a case is registered under the UAPA, now further probe will be done by NIA (National Investigation Agency) and the Rajasthan ATS will fully cooperate with them. The administration and police must ensure to maintain the law and order of the entire state and take strict action against those trying to create nuisance.”

Though the investigation has been started and culprits have been arrested, BJP leaders are slamming the Gehlot government over the worsening law and order situation in Rajasthan. BJP leader Rajyavardhan Rathore said, “Rajasthan government is responsible for this terror attack. Such horrific incidents have been continuously reported in Rajasthan, the terror organizations are thriving, and the Gehlot govt has provoked them directly or indirectly.”
