In a twist that’s raising eyebrows and a few laughs, a recent UK survey has revealed that British men place more loyalty in their barbers than in their romantic partners.
Conducted by Capital Hair and Beauty, the study found that nearly seven million men admitted they’d feel more guilt cheating on their barber than on their significant other. Over 75% of men surveyed shared that they are more committed to their hair groomers than to their relationships.
Perhaps most telling, 28% of men claimed they would never switch barbers, while only 15% of women expressed that same level of dedication to their hairstylist.
Experts believe this bond is rooted in routine, consistency, and the rare comfort that comes from someone who knows exactly how you like your fade. It’s a relationship built not just on scissors and style, but on years of quiet trust and maybe a few life chats in the chair.
The study has sparked a flurry of online reactions. Social media users are chiming in with their own stories about barber loyalty, confirming that for many, a good barber is irreplaceable.
In today’s fast-moving world where romantic ties can be fleeting, it seems many British men are keeping one connection constant: the one with the person who trims their hair.
