United opposition lights candles in Hyderabad, backs PM Modi after Pahalgam terror tragedy

In a deeply moving moment of national solidarity, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with other opposition leaders, led a candlelight peace march through Hyderabad in remembrance of the 26 Hindu victims of the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir. The brutal assault was attributed to The Resistance Front, a known proxy of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

During the march, CM Reddy delivered a fiery and emotional message, urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take bold and uncompromising steps. “This is not the time for political point-scoring. We all stand behind PM Modi,” he declared. He went a step further, calling for the reunification of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir with India and even suggested breaking Pakistan into two, invoking the decisive 1971 war under Indira Gandhi’s leadership.

The march saw participation from several parties, showing a rare but powerful display of political unity. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also lent his voice in support, pledging full cooperation with the government following an all-party meet.

This unprecedented bipartisan alignment sends a strong message of collective national resolve in the face of terror. Meanwhile, PM Modi, addressing a gathering in Madhubani, assured citizens that every terrorist and their enablers will face severe retribution.

India’s political spectrum, often divided, is speaking as one in the aftermath of the Pahalgam massacre.
