In a shocking case of national security breach, a man from Uttar Pradesh has been taken into custody for allegedly working as a spy for Pakistan. Identified as Shehzad, the suspect reportedly crossed the border and handed over classified Indian intelligence to Pakistani handlers, according to the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).
Investigative authorities revealed that Shehzad, a resident of Shamli district, had been under the radar for suspicious activities. He was found to be in possession of sensitive data and documents related to Indian military and strategic locations. The ATS has claimed that his movements were being monitored for weeks before his arrest.
Shehzad’s actions allegedly involved direct contact with Pakistani intelligence agents. It’s believed that he not only supplied critical information but also facilitated communication between Indian sources and Pakistan-based operatives.
The case is being taken very seriously, given the potential implications on national security. He has been booked under the Official Secrets Act, and further investigation is underway to uncover any broader network or collaborators involved in this espionage attempt.
Officials are working to determine how deep the leak runs and what information may have been compromised. With heightened tensions around border security, this arrest sends a strong message against cross-border intelligence threats.
