UP Man Sets Himself On Fire, After Boss Asked To ‘Send Wife For One Night’

A horrific incident of molestation, humiliation and harassment has come to the limelight where an employee of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited committed suicide. The man set himself on fire after pouring diesel over himself, and the reason behind why he decided to end his life will wrench your heart as well.

As per reports, 44-year-old Gokul Prasad was working in UPCL in Lakhimpur Kheri for the last 22 years and was recently transferred to Aliganj. Due to the distance from his home to work, he used to face difficulties and had asked his seniors for a transfer closer to his home.

But in place of accepting or rejecting his request directly, the seniors told him to get his wife for a one-night stand and get the transfer request accepted in return. Gokul was already in depression and severely stressed due to the work environment and was on medication before he committed suicide.

And in response to the official’s pathetic demand, he set himself on fire outside the junior engineer’s office. He was then rushed to the hospital, but couldn’t survive while the treatment was ongoing.

It has been said that Gokul had recorded a video before committing suicide. In the video, he accused junior engineer Nagendra Umar for the incident, who now has been suspended.
