As per the latest development, a BJP leader’s son had been detained by the Uttarakhand Police on Friday for allegedly killing a 19-year-old woman who was missing for a few days. Moreover, the resort’s owner, Pulkit Arya, who is the son of a BJP leader, and two of his staff members are detained by the police. As per the information, the resort is situated in the Pauri district’s Yamkeshwar block.
Reportedly, the girl’s body, identified as Ankita Bhandari, was found in the Nandalsun belt of Pauri Garhwal on Friday by the Uttarakhand police. As per the media reports, the deceased girl, who used to work at a resort in Rishikesh, had been missing for the previous four days.
As asserted by Mr. Ashok Kumar, DGP, Uttarakhand, “Ankita Bhandari, the missing girl, vanished five or six days ago. The resort’s location wasn’t in a typical PS region. In accordance with the patwari police system in place here, an FIR was filed, on behalf of the resort’s owner.”
As per the media reports, Vinod Arya, a BJP leader from Haridwar and a former head of the Uttarakhand Mati Kala Board, is the father of Pulkit Arya, the owner of the resort. Moreover, Vinod Arya has been given a state minister rank by the Uttarakhand government.
Likewise, the revenue police registered an abduction case on Tuesday, and on Wednesday morning, the investigation was handed over to the regular police.
“Yesterday, the DM turned the matter over to Laxman Jhula Police, who solved it in a day. It turned out that the defendant was the resort owner. Furthermore, owner Pulkit and three other suspects were taken into custody. Reportedly, his father allegedly has connections with a political party. Pulkit has been imprisoned, ” said the DGP.
On the other hand, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, expressing grief over the incident, stated that the culprits won’t be spared at any cost. Meanwhile, this matter has been trending across the media, moreover with the news that the resort owner is the son of a BJP leader.
