Salman Khan Firing Case: Accused Vicky Gupta Reveals That Lawrence Bishnoi Has Nothing To Do With The Shooting, Moves Bail Plea

The firing incident at Salman Khan’s Galaxy apartment on April 14 had shocked everyone. Now more than three months have passed since this incident. The actor later recorded his statement claiming that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang had opened fire at his house.

Now the latest update in this case is that one of the accused has claimed that he was influenced by Bishnoi, due to which he took this step. He did not want to cause any harm to the actor.

Vicky Gupta, an accused in the case, on Monday, August 5, filed a bail plea before a special court created under the MCOCA Act. According to the report of new agency PTI, Vicky Gupta has said in his petition that he is inspired by the ‘principles’ adopted in his life by Lawrence Bishnoi.

The accused have also alleged that the name of Bishnoi, who is lodged in Sabarmati jail, has been wrongly included in the case. The gangster has no role in the firing incident. Vicky Gupta further said that bullets were fired at Salman Khan’s house because of the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The accused alleged that he had not received any call from Lawrence Bishnoi.

The shooter claimed that he belonged to a remote village in Bihar and had lost his job in Tamil Nadu during the COVID-19 pandemic. Later he contacted his accused partner Sagar Pal. The accused said that he was in debt, due to which he committed this crime. Reportedly, the accused also said that there was no intention to harm Salman Khan in the firing incident.

The bail plea, filed through lawyers Amit Mishra and Pankaj Ghildiyal, states that the applicant was influenced by Lawrence Bishnoi’s social media, The Indian Express reported. It is also mentioned in this that he was associated with the principles of Bishnoi as Lawrence Bishnoi is a follower of Bhagat Singh.

The petition states that his co-accused Sagar had informed him about coming to Mumbai for a ‘religious mission’. Vicky was in dire need of money to support his family and that is why he came to the city. The petition further states that he had no knowledge about the alleged incident till April 13.
