Vicky Kaushal has updated through his official Instagram account, sharing a picture of him at the studio, that the dubbing for his upcoming Bollywood project is finally completed. The movie titled ‘Sardar Udham Singh’ will star Vicky Kaushal and Banita Sandhu in the lead. Directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by Rising Sun Films in collaboration with Kino Works, the movie is expected to make its worldwide theatrical release this year. However, there is no update from the team regarding the release of the film.
The biographical movie is based on the life of freedom fighter Shaheed Udham Singh. Sardar Udham Singh was a revolutionary freedom fighter, who is best known for assassinating Michael O’Dwyer in London to take revenge for the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar. The movie ‘Sardar Udham Singh’ will chronicle the events of the great freedom fighter’s life.
The film was initially sent for its worldwide theatrical premier on the day of Gandhi Jayanti, 2nd October, 2020. But due to the global pandemic of COVID-19, the release of the film had to be postponed. Now, as updated by Vicky, the dubbing for the movie is finally complete and we can expect the makers to soon drop an official release date. It is most likely that the film will drop in the ending months of this year.
