Rohit Shetty is a renowned director of bollywood who is popular for making action films. More of it, he is also into cop based movies which we got to witness through Simmba and Singham series years back. Earlier this year it was confirmed that Rohit Shetty will make his OTT debut with an action-thriller web series and now it is being said that Vicky Kaushal, Tiger Shroff and Sidharth Malhotra are the top three contenders to play the lead role for the same.

As per sources, “They are Rohit’s top choices for the role as the material demands an actor who is adept at action. If all goes well, the project will roll by December. Though it marks Rohit’s foray into the OTT world, he is not in a rush to announce it and will probably do so only after the release date of Sooryavanshi is finalised”. If this is true then the audience is going to witness the big screen magic in their homes on Amazon Prime Video.
Though the character portraying would not be that difficult for Sidharth Malhotra and Vicky Kaushal as they have already tasted it in their films, Shershaah and Uri respectively. If Tiger Shroff gets roped in for the web show it will be fun to see him in a whole new look.
If reports are to be believed, this web show will be eight-episode long and will be a cop-thriller drama and will be released on Amazon Prime Video. This untitled web show will be directed by Rohit’s assistant director, Sushwanth Prakash who assisted Shetty in Simmba, Golmaal Again, Singham Returns and some other Rohit Shetty directed projects.
For the time being, Rohit Shetty directed film Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar & Katrina Kaif is yet to get a release date. The film was all set to release in 2020 but due to the pandemic it couldn’t be made possible. Now as the situation is getting better we are expecting it to get released soon.
