The release date of Vicky Kaushal’s film ‘Chhava’ has changed. Interestingly, the makers have taken this decision when it was going to hit the theaters only a week later. ‘Chhava’, based on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, was earlier scheduled to release on 6 December 2024. It was going to clash with Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ at the box office. But now the film has been postponed for a month.
The makers have announced that ‘Chhava’ will now hit the theaters on February 14, 2025. By the way, it is also interesting that this new release date holds special significance, as February 19 is the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, ‘Chhava’ will see Vicky Kaushal playing the role of Maratha warrior-king Chhatrapati Sambhaji. It is a period drama film, whose teaser has been released. Vicky’s transformation in the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, is being praised a lot.
Apart from Vicky Kaushal, Akshay Khanna has played the role of Aurangzeb in ‘Chhava’. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Neil Bhoopalam and Santosh Juvekar in pivotal roles. It has been produced under the banner of Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films.
