Last night, MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings beat Delhi Capitals and concluded the first stage of the league. CSK’s win marked the end of the group stage and now, IPL will proceed to its playoffs.

But CSK v/s DC wasn’t just a normal cricket game. The audience got to see so many twists in those 40 overs of the game, and to make it even better, MS Dhoni himself finished the game. Dhoni scored 3 fours in a row against Tom Curran in the 20th over of their innings and completed the run chase. The whole cricket fan base was more than excited to witness the comeback of who’s been dubbed as the greatest ever finisher of the game.

Immediately after the game, Indian skipper Virat Kohli rushed to express his overwhelming emotions to see his close friend and former teammate MS Dhoni to be back in his finishing style. Virat called MS Dhoni the greatest finisher of the game in his tweet and said that he made him jump out of his seat once again tonight.

This was so much positivity for the fans. After watching their favourite finisher, finishing off the game in his style and being back to his usual game, the audience got to see Virat’s tweet for MS Dhoni. Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni have both stepped down as the captains of the Indian Cricket Men’s Team. After Dhoni quit captaincy, Virat overtook it, and now Virat has announced stepping down from the Captaincy of T20I team after the 2021 World Cup.

Virat has also stepped down as the captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team and this is his last IPL as the leader of the team. Virat Kohli has been defined as one of the greatest batsmen to have ever played the game but since the game kicked off again after the coronavirus, he hasn’t been the same. His stats have dropped drastically and the audience awaits one day when they will witness the comeback of ‘King Kohli’. But for the timing, they are cheering the comeback of their ‘Thala’.
