Wamiqa Gabbi Requests Everyone To Adopt Pepsi: An Injured Stray Dog

We stay in a country where even humans are constrained to a good life so thinking about animals is far safer. However, some understand early on that animals are precious. People especially in India can be seen shooing away street dogs, pressing charges against animal activists or calling the vet van to throw out the animals who are creating a menace in their locality.

Some would even prefer a world free of animals or desi dogs per se and in this battle, there are a few good souls who have taken the responsibility on themselves to look after the unspoken and stand up for the voiceless. One among them is Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi.

Wamiqa is a dog person. The actress was already the owner of a dog for some time, but in the lockdown she ended up owning three more dogs, taking her total pet tally to four. Well, if you are wondering if the solitude of lockdown drove her into adopting more pets, let us tell you that was not the case.

Wamiqa is an animal lover and when she sees an abandoned, distressed dog she finds it tough to resist not sympathizing with the dog. Today, the actress posted a video and some pictures of an injured stray dog. In the video, there’s a man who is whipping a dog with a stick named ‘Pepsi’. With that video, she has even posted some pictures of her and a wounded dog with a caption:

“Pepsi was beaten badly in Khuda Jassu, Chandigarh when MowgliAid rescued him and was treated by vets at SPCA Chandigarh. He is still in trauma and gets very scared which is understandable.

We need someone who can give him the love and personal attention he deserves so that he can regain his trust in humans. To make pepsi believe again that all the people are not the same and show him what love truly is please come forward to foster/adopt him. Please call/drop a whatsapp message at +91 7889183624 or DM @mowgliaid”

This shows that An animal rescuer’s life in India is extremely challenging. We need the government and conservationists to look for humane methods and alternatives to tackle this issue of wild boars.
