Freedom Fighter Shaheed Udham Singh is remembered for his contribution in India’s fight against the British for independence. Today on his death anniversary, Indians are remembering his sacrifice and he is all over social media. 

We are sure that you too have grown up reading and listening to stories about his bravery and selfless love for the nation. 

But what you don’t know is the fact that he has worked in two Hollywood movies as well. Yes, you read that right. Shaheed Udham Singh has featured in two Hollywood movies; Elephant Boy released in 1937 and The Four Feathers of 1939. He decided to work in these movies just so that he could earn some extra money which he could use to support the Ghadar Party. 

Shadeed Udham Singh is known because he assassinated british Michael O’Dwyer in Caxton Hall in London. He murdered him to take revenge for the Jallianwala Massacre, which is still remembered because this incident took the lives of many people including young men, women, old aged people and children too. 

Shaheed Udham Singh might have sacrificed his life for the nation, but he will always remain alive in the stories narrating the history of India’ Independence.
