The much awaited 5G spectrum auction is finally here.

The Indian Government has put up 72 Ghz of spectrum for auction with a validity of 20 years.

The base price of the entire contract is worth ₹4.3 trillion.

A company's earnest money deposit affects its ability to buy spectrum.

The market leader like Jio Telecom had submitted ₹14,000 crore as earnest money deposit.

Jio Telecom has the highest money deposit among all of the other competitors that are bidding.

Meanwhile, Adani Data Networks had deposited only ₹100 crore.

Adani's gave clear indication that it will opt for limited airwaves & that too in select areas, for its  captive networks.

Bharti Airtel submitted an earnest money deposit of ₹5,500 crores, which is much lower than  Jio's submission.

The surprise package was Vodafone Idea earnest money deposit of ₹2,200 crores.
