After the retirement of Mithali Raj, BCCI has appointed Harmanpreet Kaur, the new Captain of Indian Women Cricket Team for  Sri Lanka Tour.

Harman has been the T20 captain of the team since 2018 & now she's  the ODI captain as well.

She's the first Indian woman cricketer to score a T20 century, that came against New Zealand in 2018.

Harmanpreet is the first Indian cricketer to play in 100 international Twenty20 matches.

Harmanpreet Kaur was born on 8th March 1989, in Moga, Punjab. She used to play cricket with boys  in her young age.

Harman idolizes & draws inspiration from former Indian cricketer  Virender Sehwag.

She made her international debut in March 2009 at the age of 20 against Pakistan Women’s Team.

This outstanding all-rounder has scored 2672 ODI runs in 108 matches & 2307 T20I runs in 120 matches.

Her landmark achievement was her berserk innings of 171 not out against Australia in the 2nd Semi-final of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017.

Harman was honoured with the Arjuna Award in 2017 for her brilliant performance in the game of cricket.
