Johnny Depp announced on Instagram that he was selling prints from his Friends & Heroes series.

The prints are to be sold  through Castle Fine Art galleries in the UK.

The 59-year-old's work depicts four people who have inspired him in life.

Those four people that inspired him are Rolling Stone Keith Richards, actor Al Pacino, singer Bob Dylan & actress Elizabeth Taylor.

The art retailer posted a photo of Depp working on a portrait of his idol singer Bob Dylan.

n a description of the prints, Castle Fine Art gallery said they also featured "characteristic freehand flourishes".

The sale of prints ended within a few hours as all 780 images were sold out.

The framed individual prints sold for $4,800 and the four main pictures went for $18,200.

Uk gallery chain tweeted that "Depp took the internet down with his prints"

UK gallery quoted Depp as saying: "My paintings surround my life, but I kept them to myself & limited myself. No one should ever limit themselves."
