Supermodel Kim Kardashian was fined by the SEC for promoting an illegal crypto investment scheme.

Kim was charged with an amount over $1 million and a 3 year ban on promoting crypto asset securities.

Kim was charged with unlawfully promoting an illegal crypto investment scheme on Instagram.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) examined and fined the reality TV star with a  hefty amount.

Kim Kardashian has paid a $1.26 million fine she was charged  by the SEC.

Kim has also agreed to not promote any crypto asset securities  for three years.

Kim promoted a crypto asset offered & sold by EthereumMax without disclosing the payment she  received for the promotion.

The SEC said that Kim agreed to settle the charges, pay $1.26 million in penalties, disgorgement, and interest, and cooperate with the Commission’s ongoing investigation.

In a series of posts to her Instagram story, Kim asked her followers, “Are you guys into crypto???"
