Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate the 'Atal Bridge'  in Ahmedabad.

Atal Bridge is built over the Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad.

It is a pedestrian-only, named after former Prime Minister Atal  Bihari Vajpayee.

The foot overbridge will connect the flower garden on the western-end and the upcoming arts & culture centre on the eastern-end of Sabarmati river.

PM Modi will inaugurate the Atal Bridge on the first day of his  two-day visit to Gujarat.

The PM will also address a gathering at the 'Khadi Utsav' programme to  be held on Sabarmati Riverfront  in the evening.

The programme will feature 7,500 women khadi artisans from various districts of Gujarat spinning charkha live at the same time.

The Atal Bridge is 300-metre-long and has an eye-catching design &  LED lighting.

The foot of the overbridge has been built using 2,600 metric tonnes of steel pipes.

The roof of the bridge is made up of colourful fabric and the railing is  built with glass & stainless steel.
