Reliance is planning to launch a low cost 4G-enabled laptop later this year.
Reliance Jio has reportedly partnered with Qualcomm for the chips & Microsoft for the apps for
its low cost laptops.
The upcoming laptop from Reliance Jio will reportedly be called the JioBook.
The JioBook will come with an embedded 4G SIM card, aiming to replicate their low-cost JioPhone’s success in the laptop segment.
The JioBook laptop’s price in India
will be under ₹ 15,000.
According to the reports, the JioBook will be available for enterprise customers like schools and government institutions
from this month.
The JioBook can be launched in India for all customers within the
next three months.
However, Reliance Jio is yet to confirm any development on the same.
The JioBook will run on Jio’s own JioOS operating system & apps can be downloaded from the JioStore
on the laptop.
Notably, a glimpse of the JioBook laptop was spotted in a teaser aired during the Reliance AGM a
few weeks ago.
