Netflix has announced the arrival of its popular web series Sex Education season 4.

After three globally acclaimed seasons, the franchise began production of the fourth season.

Asa Butterfield (Otis), Gillian Anderson (Jean), Ncuti Gatwa (Eric), Aimee Lou Wood (Aimee), Emma Mackey (Maeve) & Connor Swindells (Adam) will return in the  new season.

Other returning cast members include Kedar Williams-Stirling (Jackson), Mimi Keene (Ruby), George Robinson (Isaac), Chinenye Ezeudu (Viv)  & others.

There will be a number of major new cast additions, including Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy.

Dan will be playing Thomas Molloy, a famous author & Maeve’s US course tutor  at her Ivy League college.

But several of the show's main cast including Tanya Reynolds, Patricia Allison & Rakhee Thakrar had already revealed they would not be back  for the new season.

The official synopsis for season four also reveals that Moordale Secondary has closed for the events of the third season.

And the show's cast will be relocating to a new sixth  form college.

Filming on season 4 is currently underway in Wales and will continue until 2023. Netflix is yet to announce a release  date for season 4.
