Anubhav Sinha’s most anticipated Bollywood movie Anek has been released in theatres.

It stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Andrea Kevichusa in the leading roles.

Ayushmann plays an undercover agent on a mission to resolve unsettlement between the Indian government and Tiger Sanga.

The film’s story is based on the discrimination faced by people living in North-East states of India but fails to impress.

Ayushman despite being an amazing actor fails to help his character connect with fans this time.

Anek feels overdone with preaching that at points also turns irritating for the audience.

The film’s plot tries to spread its wings by adding many narratives and aspects but leaves the strings loose.

Overall, the film’s concept is good, but the messy dialogues, long narration, and weak execution spoiled it.

After Anubhav Sinha’s excellent Mulk, Article 15 and Thappad, Anek does not stand at par audience’s expectations.

Kiddaan rates the film 2.5/5.
