Chairman & CEO of WWE was alleged for a $3m hush-money settlement.

The Hush-money was paid to an ex-employee with whom he had an affair.

A wsj.com report claims that the investigation of the WWE board started in April.

One of the closest of Vince, John Laurinaitis, the head of WWE  talent relations is also  found accused.

Previously, the board encountered non-disclosure agreements with former female WWE employees who made allegations of misconduct against them.

The matter came into the spotlight after the board received settlements related emails.

According to wsj.com reports, the mails were sent by one of the  close friends of the employee.

In the mail the friend said that "the woman was so scared so she quit after Vince & lawyer Jerry paid her millions of dollars to shut up.”

Jerry stated that the employee didn't make any claims of harassment against Vince.

"The company is cooperating with the ongoing inquiry & that the relationship between Mr McMahon & the woman was consensual," said WWE spokesperson.
