Meta banned the controversial influencer Andrew Tate from Facebook & Instagram.
Tate is a former kickboxer who got his fame from the seventeenth season
of Big Brother.
He was thrown out of the show in 2016 after a video of him beating a woman
circulated online.
Tate is known for his misogynistic personality and anti-feministic statements.
He is considered as a cult for many young directionless men in many English-speaking countries, particularly catering to anti-feminist views.
He received attention for his tweets on his views over 'what qualifies as sexual harassment' amid the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases.
He tweeted several other statements that sexual assault victims are themselves responsible for their assaults.
He has also been under investigation for his involvement in human trafficking and rape
allegations.
In 2022, Tate's house was raided by DIICOT, after US embassy tipped Romanian police against Tate for human trafficking.
After all these allegations & his misogynistic statements, Twitter, Meta & TikTok removed his account for violation of their guidelines.
