Gustavo Arnal committed suicide at 52 by jumping off the iconic new Tribeca skyscraper, 'Jenga Building'.

Arnal jumped from the 18th floor of the building at 56 Leonard street on Friday, taking his life.

The NYPD reported that they got the calls regarding the suicide at around 12:30 pm on 2 September.

The Jenga Building (821 ft.) Gustavo jumped from is the tallest structure in Tribeca, NY.

Gustavo Arnal was the CFO of Bed Bath & Beyond, an American retail stores chain.

Arnal was also the executive vice president of the goods retailer company.

Arnal took his life just 2 days after the company announced that it was shutting down 150 of its around 900 stores and lay off 20% of its staff.

According to MarketBeat.com, Gustavo had sold his 42,513 shares in company stock for a little over a $1 million  on August 16.

Gustavo Arnal had joined the Bed Bath & Beyond company in 2020.

He had previously worked as the CFO for London-based cosmetics  giant, Avon.
