What If Gangs Of Wasseypur’s Cast Had Popular Punjabi Artists?

We are aware of how supreme and amazing the Bollywood movie Gangs of Wasseypur have been. The fans still love the movie and the characters this movie had are also evergreen. But our love for Punjabi celebrities is beyond expectations, hence we thought about what if Gangs of Wasseypur was made in Punjab? What if our favourite Punjabi celebrities were castes in the Punjabi version of Gangs of Wasseypur? Have a look at our fun article in which we have tried to fit various Punjabi celebs in the characters of Gangs of Wasseypur, and let us know what do you think about it?

Gippy Grewal as Sardar Khan

We even now cannot get over Manoj Bajpayee who played Sardar Khan in Gangs of Wasseypur. Hence, it won’t be fair to fit anybody random in his character if the movie was made in Punjabi. We believe, the superstar and very popular Gippy Grewal can only do justice to Sardar Khan’s character. Be it the dialogue delivery, intense looks, or comic timings, Gippy Grewal is a perfect match to play Sardar Khan.

Prince Kanwaljit as Faizal Khan

We in no way can doubt Prince Kanwaljit’s caliber and acting skills. He has proved himself as the best in various Punjabi movies, and so is the case with Nawazuddin Siddiqui who played Faizal Khan in Gangs of Wasseypur. And this made us realize why not cast Prince Kanwaljit in Faizal Khan’s character. It will be as fascinating as amazing it sounds right now.

Guggu Gill as Sultan Qureshi

Can we say Guggu Gill is a look-alike of Pankaj Tripathi? No? Okay! But you’ll have to agree with us that they do look a little similar. Also, both are extremely talented, bold, and known for their amazing acting skills and dialogue delivery which is beyond perfection. Hence, who can fit in the character of Sultan Qureshi played by Pankaj Tripathi? Guggu Gill obviously.

Jimmy Shergill as Nasir Ahmed

Piyush Mishra originally played Nasir Ahmed in Gangs of Wasseypur. But apart from acting, this character is also the narrator of the story. And we think, there is one and only Jimmy Shergill who is a perfect fit for this character. Not only is he a great actor, but also will be a great narrator. Don’t you think so too?

Sonam Bajwa as Mohsina Hamid

Mohsina Hamid is bold, beautiful, and extremely straight forward. And this reminds us of Babbu Bains from Ardab Mutiyaran. They both seem very similar to us. Huma Qureshi played Mohsina Hamid in Gangs of Wasseypur, and Sonam Bajwa can take the responsibility really well.

Mahi Gill as Nagma Khatoon

We have chosen Mahi Gill to play Nagma Khatoon in the Punjabi version of Gangs of Wasseypur. Talking about the character, Richa Chadha played Nagma and did a fantabulous job. It was really difficult to find someone that matches her level of energy and skills. But we think Mahi Gill is a good choice.

Hobby Dhaliwal as Ramadhir Singh

Here comes the turn of the ultimate villain Ramadhir Singh from Gangs of Wasseypur. Tigmanshu Dhulia originally entertained us as Ramadhir Singh in the movie, but if it was made in Punjabi, Hobby Dhaliwal can really do wonders. We don’t doubt his skills even a percent.

Jagjeet Sandhu as Definite

How can we forget the charmer Definite? Do you remember his sharp character played by Zeishan Quadri? The character is very vital and entertaining; hence Jagjeet Sandhu will fit its cover perfectly. Jagjeet has [proved his worth various times, and we all know it already.

Honey Mattu as Perpendicular

The sweet yet dangerous Perpendicular who swiftly played with sharp blades with his tongue gifted us various sleepless nights. Aditya Kumar played Perpendicular in the movie, and Honey Mattu would have done justice to the same character if it was made in Punjabi.

Mandy Takhar as Durga

The bubbly, shy and strong Durga was played by Reema Sen, and in Punjabi Mandy Takhar will look extremely perfect in the character if Gangs of Wasseypur was made in Punjabi. Both Mandy and Reema’s smile are enough to make anyone fall for them.
