Sh. Puran Chand Wadali is one of the most renowned and veteran artists of the Punjabi Music Industry. He is not only a true artist but a very fine and innocent human being. He took Punjabi Music to unexpected heights and also contributed a lot in the growth of the Punjabi Industry.
Today on his birthday, we are letting you know about a very funny incident from his life which also proves the fact that he is really innocent, unintended funny, and a super cute human.
And the most beautiful part is the fact that this incident is from the recording session of superhit song ‘Tu Maane Ya Maane Dildara’.
Sh. Puranchand Wadali with his brother Sh. Pyarelal Wadali and son Lakhwinder Wadali were in Mumbai to record the song. While they were recording it in a studio, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan also reached the same studio for dubbing of Abhishek Bachchan’s debut film Refugee.
Though Big B had only one dialogue to dub, he made sure to take permission from the people (Wadali Brothers) who were already present and working in the studio.
But when Lakhwinder told his father about Amitabh Bachchan’s presence and they needed the studio for some minutes, Puranchand Wadali innocently asked who is Amitabh Bachchan?
And when Lakhwinder explained to him that Amitabh Bachchan is a very big actor of Bollywood Film Industry, out of curiosity, Puranchand Wadali asked his dear brother,
“How big would he be? A man big enough who touches the ceiling?”
And what made this incident even more funny is the fact that unfortunately, the mics were on, and Amitabh Bachchan could hear all the conversation going on inside the studio from outside.
Later Mr. Bachchan had a word with Sh. Wadali expressed that he is a big fan of him as his father Late. Harivansh Rai Bachchan always appreciated his work.
