Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar was found dead in her apartment in Karachi’s DHA area on July 8, police have confirmed. Her body was discovered in a severely decomposed state after neighbors complained of a foul smell. Police say the flat was locked from the inside and there were no signs of forced entry.
DIG Syed Asad Raza said police entered the apartment on court orders as part of an eviction process. Police Surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed confirmed the body was in an advanced stage of decomposition, indicating she had likely died around two weeks earlier. A post-mortem is being conducted at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Officials say there’s no evidence of foul play at this stage.
Humaira Asghar rose to fame through reality show Tamasha Ghar and appeared in the film Jalaibee. She had lived alone for years and had not paid rent since 2024.
