The Bollywood Film Industry is picking stories from history to make movies on them and make the tales even more popular. And a new report of Pinkvilla has confirmed that a movie is being made on Rukhsana Kausar and her family who bravely fought with Lashkar-E-Taiba (LeT) militants.
A source close to the versatile actress told Pinkvilla, “Makers of the film wanted someone who would look like a 20-year-old onscreen to play Rukhsana. Shraddha undoubtedly will do justice to the role. And hence she has been roped into the movie. Shraddha’s role in the film is completely opposite of what she has portrayed in most of her movies.”
Shraddha Kapoor earned massive appreciation for her role as Haseena Parkar, the Godmother of Nagpada in Mumbai in the biographical drama movie. And, now the actress is all set to portray a brave role in another movie. This time, Shraddha will be seen in the role of 27-year-old Rukhsana Kausar.
If you are unaware and wondering who is Rukhsana Kausar, this article will help you out. In 2007, Rukhsana along with her younger brother Aijaz faced terrorists and killed Laskar-E-Taiba terror cell leader, Abu Osama.
At night, when three terrorists forcefully entered their house, Rukhsana attacked Abu Osama with an axe. She then snatched his AK47 and shot dead the militant. She threw another AK47 towards her brother and the duo then open-fired shots at the militants.
This situation forced the militants to run away in order to save their lives. The family then reported the incident to the police and also handed over the weapons.
Rukhsana and her brother Aijaz have been honoured with the esteemed Kirti Chakra award, National Bravery Award, and Sarvottam Jeevan, Raksha Padak, Sardar Patel, Rani Jhansi Bravery, Astha Award and many more.
Her story will be now converted into a full-fledged Bollywood movie. This indeed will be exciting to see how Shraddha does justice to this inspiring story and such a brave role.
