R. Madhavan is currently busy collecting appreciation for his recently released Bollywood movie Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The film is a beautiful biographical drama based on the life of a former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayana who was falsely accused of espionage.
Recently, Maddy held a Live interaction session with his fans on Instagram which was joined by another superstar actor Suriya. The actor had a cameo role in Madhavan’s Rocketry.
While the conversation between the two actors was on, Madhavan revealed that Suriya’s 2005 released super-duper hit Ghajini was first offered to him. But he turned down the offer because he did not like the script. He stated, “I told AR Murugadoss sir that I didn’t like the second half of the film. Ghajini went to many heroes and finally came to you. I was very happy. I had seen you in Kaakha Kaakha and felt that Ghajini had finally gone to the right person.”
The actor went on to appreciate Suriya’s performance in the film. Madhavan stated, “I watched how hard you worked to get your six-pack abs. I felt ashamed as I became complacent after giving a few hits. I remember that you had not consumed salt for a week to maintain your physique. Seeing the hard work you put in, I questioned myself and felt that I wasn’t doing justice to my career. It is only after that I started applying the advice that I had given you. After Ghajini, your career catapulted.”
The film turned out to be a big hit and was later also remade in Hindi. Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood; Aamir Khan played the lead role in the film’s Bollywood version.
