While the conversation between the two actors was on, Madhavan revealed that Suriya’s 2005 released super-duper hit Ghajini was first offered to him. But he turned down the offer because he did not like the script. He stated, “I told AR Murugadoss sir that I didn’t like the second half of the film. Ghajini went to many heroes and finally came to you. I was very happy. I had seen you in Kaakha Kaakha and felt that Ghajini had finally gone to the right person.”
The actor went on to appreciate Suriya’s performance in the film. Madhavan stated, “I watched how hard you worked to get your six-pack abs. I felt ashamed as I became complacent after giving a few hits. I remember that you had not consumed salt for a week to maintain your physique. Seeing the hard work you put in, I questioned myself and felt that I wasn’t doing justice to my career. It is only after that I started applying the advice that I had given you. After Ghajini, your career catapulted.”
