As we all know, the Indian cricket team and Pakistani cricket team faced each other in the tournament on the 2nd of September but rain and wet outfield after India’s innings forced the cancellation of the game.
However, In their opening game at the Asia Cup against team Nepal, Team Indian came out on Top.
In the ongoing Asia Cup 2023, Team India beated team Nepal by 10 wickets in their final Group under the Duckworth/Lewis method in a rain-interrupted match. Hence, India qualified for the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup.
But, the impressive performance of the players of team Nepal on the outfield, won the respect of their opposition. After the match, the Indian cricket team went to the dressing room of Nepali Cricketers who were playing opposite them and in a sweet gesture, gave away their medals to them.

Hardik Pandya was the first one to give his Medal to Sompal Kami for his 48- ball 56.
Then, Viral Kohli presented his Medal to Aasif Sheikh and then at last Dipendra Singh Airee was presented the Medal by the Indian head coach, Rahul Dravid.
After this, the head coach of Nepal Cricket Team, Monty Desai, thanked them for this heartwarming gesture. In an interview Asif Sheikh said, “It was a proud feeling to receive the medal from Virat Kohli, he funnily told, give the medal to me as well as I dropped your catch”.
In the ongoing Asia Cup 2023, now team India will be confronting Pakistan. The match is slated to be played on 10th September.
