Why Samantha Ruth Prabhu to Take a Break from Acting Career?

South Indian superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently announced that she will take a break from acting. Since 2022, she has been fighting with health issues and trauma but now she has decided that she will take a short break from acting and soon start taking treatment for myositis. 

Samantha completed her last schedule of Citadel India with Varun Dhawan. Citadel India is expected to release in September on Amazon Prime Video however no specific date has been shared by the makers. Now she is currently wrapping up shooting for Kushi with Vijay Devarkonda. It is expected that the shoot will wrap up in 2-3 days. This film is a romantic drama and this is the second time Samantha will be seen with Vijay Devarkonda after Mahanti. The film is all set to hit the big screen on September 1 and will be released in all the languages.

As per some sources of India Today, ” She will take a year-long break from work and will not sign any new Telugu or Bollywood films. She plans to use this time to regain her health and seek additional treatment. Samantha has returned advance payments to producers she had previously taken”.

Addressing the issue of Myositis, Samantha in an interview said that ” As I said earlier, there are some good days and there are some bad days. On some days, getting up from bed is difficult. And on some days, I want to fight. Slowly, the days I want to fight are becoming more. It’s been three months now. I want to clarify that I am not dying anytime soon. I saw many articles saying that I have a life-threatening condition. No, I don’t. It’s an autoimmune condition. It’s draining and tiring. I’ve always been a fighter and I will fight.”
