In a shocking case from Hisar, Haryana, social media obsession took a deadly turn when a woman and her lover allegedly murdered her husband after he caught them in an intimate moment. Raveena, 32, met Suresh on Instagram, and the two began creating short videos and dance reels, amassing over 34,000 followers despite her husband Praveen’s and his family’s repeated objections. The couple often fought over her content creation, which she pursued passionately.
On March 25, Praveen reportedly caught Raveena and Suresh in a compromising position, leading to a confrontation. In a fit of rage, the duo allegedly strangled Praveen with a dupatta. They then waited till night to dispose of the body, transporting it on a bike and dumping it in a drain around six kilometres away from Raveena’s home.
CCTV footage captured their movements, showing Raveena riding pillion with her face covered, and Praveen’s body placed between the rider and her. Hours later, the body was missing, but the duo returned the same way. Praveen’s decomposed body was discovered by police on March 28. Raveena and Suresh have since been arrested, while Praveen’s six-year-old son now lives with his grandfather. The case mirrors a similar recent murder in Meerut, sparking public outrage and fear.
