After she attempted to break up with her lover, a 33-year-old woman was ruthlessly ki*led in a South Bengaluru hotel room. The incident took place in the Poornapragna Housing Society Layout late on Friday night.
Hemmigepura resident Harini R, who lived in Banashankari 6th Stage, was stabbed thirteen times. Yashas, 25, a private company employee and Kengeri BCA graduate, was taken into custody by police. According to reports, he admitted to the crime.
Officials claim that following the murder, Yashas went home, stabbed himself, and called a constable at the Kengeri police station. Around 3:30 am, police hurried to the hotel. Yashas received treatment at a nearby hospital before being transferred to KIMS Hospital. Police in Subramanyapura arrested him and released him on Sunday.
According to police investigations, Harini had two daughters, ages 13 and 10, and had been married to Dasegowda HP, a 91-year-old farmer, since 2012. Three years ago, she had an affair with Yashas after meeting him at a village fair.
The relationship had just been discovered by both families, and Harini was counseled to break it off. Although she no longer saw Yashas, they decided to get together one final time on June 6. Yashas picked her up around 5 pm and took her to a pre-booked hotel room.
Yashas, who allegedly planned the attack, repeatedly stabbed Harini after she reaffirmed her decision to break up with him. He later admitted to the police that he couldn’t accept her rejection.
