Who Is Joravar Singh Kalsi? Youtuber Arrested For Throwing Cash From Car Like ‘Farzi’

Gurugram police nabbed YouTuber Joravar Singh Kalsi and Lucky Kamboj after a video posted on social media showed them throwing currency notes on the road. The police said that both the accused were recreating the money-chasing scene from the recently released web series ‘Farzi’ starring Shahid Kapoor.

According to the police, the incident took place on the underpass of Gurugram’s DLF Golf Course Road on the night of March 2nd. Both friends have been charged with dangerous driving.

Joravar Singh Kalsi drives the car in the process to recreate a scene from Amazon Prime web series ‘Farzi’.

After the video went viral on social media, the Gurugram Police registered a case under the Motor Vehicle Act for dangerous driving and endangering the lives of others.

Vikas Kaushik, the additional Commissioner of Police, DLF Gurugram, told ANI: “Police came to know about an incident through a video on social media where two men tried to re-create a scene from a movie by throwing currency notes from a car on Golf course road. Police filed a case under various sections of IPC. Main accused identified.”

In his defense the YouTuber told the police that “it was just an act”and the currency notes they used were fake.”

The sections in the FIR against the YouTuber are bailable, however the police said that necessary action will be taken to teach people a lesson who don’t care about the dignity of the nation.

For the unversed, Jorawar Singh Kalsi is an Indian YouTuber. He has over 3.5 lakh subscribers on his YouTube channel that goes by the name of Joravar Singh1. After the incident Joravar has taken down the video from his Instagram handle.
