Yuzvendra Chahal Played IPL 2025 With Three Fractures, Reveals RJ Mahvash

Yuzvendra Chahal, who turned out to be one of Punjab Kings’ standout performers in IPL 2025, showed more than just skill this season—he showed heart. The leg-spinner, who made headlines as the most expensive spinner in IPL history after PBKS picked him up for a whopping ₹18 crore, lived up to the hype by taking 16 wickets in 13 matches, including two memorable four-wicket hauls.

But what fans didn’t see on the surface was the grit behind those performances.

Towards the end of PBKS’ league stage, Chahal missed a few matches, reportedly due to a finger injury. After playing against Rajasthan Royals on May 18, he was out until he returned for the high-stakes Qualifier 2 against Mumbai Indians on June 1—and then stepped up again in the final.

Now, RJ Mahvash, who has often been seen alongside Chahal, revealed something that left fans stunned. Taking to Instagram, she shared “They fought, stayed, and played till the last match! And a special post for @yuzi\_chahal23 because what people don’t know is—his ribs were fractured in the second match itself, and his bowling finger got fractured later. This guy played the entire season with *three fractures!*”

Talk about playing through pain.

One of those clutch performances came during the playoff against Mumbai Indians, where PBKS had won the toss and chose to bowl first. Arshdeep Singh (3/40) and Kyle Jamieson (3/48) picked up key wickets, and Chahal—despite the injuries—delivered a tight spell, conceding just 37 runs and snatching a vital wicket to keep the pressure on.

Chahal didn’t just spin the ball this season—he spun a story of resilience and pure courage.
