Yuzvendra Chahal Reacts To Cheating Claims Made By Dhanashree Verma
A week after his ex-wife Dhanashree Verma accused him of cheating within two months of their marriage, Yuzvendra Chahal finally addressed the controversy. In an interview with Hindustan Times, the Indian cricketer firmly denied all allegations and said he has moved on from that chapter of his life.
“I am a sportsperson, and I do not cheat. Agar koi two months mein hi cheat karta toh itna lamba relationship chalta kya? (If you get caught in the second month, how could the relationship last?) For me, this chapter is over, done, and dusted. I have moved forward with my life, and everyone else should too,” said Yuzvendra Chahal.

The 35-year-old spinner further explained that his marriage lasted 4.5 years, so the accusation of cheating in the second month doesn’t add up. “Hamari shaadi 4.5 years ki thi. Agar two months mein cheat hua hota toh kaun continue karta? Main pehle bhi bol chuka hoon ki main past se nikal chuka hoon. But some people are still stuck there.”
Without naming anyone directly, Yuzvendra Chahal hinted that some people still try to use his name for attention and relevance. “Abhi bhi kai log uss cheez ko pakde hue hain, abhi bhi unka ghar mere naam se chal raha hai. They can continue doing that. I’m not concerned or affected,” said Yuzvendra Chahal.
He added, “Koi kuch bhi keh deta hai, and social media pe chal jata hai. 100 baatein chalti hain, but the truth is only one, and those who matter know it.”
