Punjabi Cinema and its films have impressed people across the globe. The fan following of Punjabi songs, movies and dialogues is known to each one of us. But do you know there are some Punjabi movies which have been remade in some other languages also?

Following is the list of some Punjabi movies which not only entertained us but also millions of more by their official remakes in other languages.
List Of Pollywood Movies Remade In Other Languages
Disco Singh
Yes, you read that right. Diljit Dosanjh and Surveen Chawla starrer superhit Punjabi movie Disco Singh has been remade in some other languages as well. Though it didn’t star Diljit in it, it did quite well at the box office It was remade in Bengali as Haripada Bandwala which stars Ankush Hazra and Nusrat Jahan in the lead roles.
PS: But the story of this film is not so simple. Because Bengali Film Haripada Bandawala (2016) was the remake of Punjabi Film Disco Singh (2014), and Disco Singh was a remake of Bollywood Film Do Knot Disturb (2009) which was eventually a remake of the French film The Valet (2006).
Rocky Mental
Released in 2017 Rocky Mental was the acting debut of Parmish Verma in the lead role. The film has been remade in Bollywood and will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from May 21st, 2021. Titled Toofan, the remake of Rocky mental will star Farhan Akhtar in the lead role.
Carry On Jatta
We can never get over the kind of entertainer Carry On Jatta is. This film has never failed to entertain us no matter how many times we re-watch it.
But can you believe this film has been remade in another language not once but 4 times? Carry on Jatt was remade in Odia, Telugu, and 2 times in Bengali languages.
Odia movie Pilata Bigidigala was released in 2015 and stars Sabasachi Mishra, Archita Sahu, Mihir Das, Papu Pom Pom and others in the pivotal roles.
Telugu movie Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam was released in 2016 and stars Vishnu Manchu, Raj Traun, Sonarika Bhadoria and Hebah Patel in lead roles.
Bengali movie Dhat Teri Ki was released in 2017 in Bangladesh and stars Arifin Shuvo, Nusrat Faria, Ziaul Roshan, Humaira Frain Khan and others.
Indian Bengali film Jamai Badal released in 2019 was also a remake of superhit Punjabi movie Carry on Jatta. It stars Soham Chakraborthy, Koushani Mukherjee, Payel Sarkar, Hiran, Shantilal Mukherjee and Bharat Kaul.
Jatt & Juliet
After its release in 2012, Jatt & Juliet was remade in the Bengali language with the title Bengali Babu English Mem in 2014. Its original version starred Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa in the lead roles, while in its Bengali remake Soham Chakraborty and Mimi Chakraborty were seen playing the lead roles.
Jatt & Juliet 2
Just like its Jatt & Juliet, its sequel Jatt & Juliet 2 (2013) was also remade in the Bengali language. Jatt & Juliet 2 also starred Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa in the lead role, and Jeet and Nusrat Faria played the lead in its remake Inspector Notty K in 2018.
