India is becoming a huge hub for OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Zee5, Jio Cinema etc. These platforms are so easy to access that you can watch your favorite shows and movies anytime and anywhere.
Every day, these companies are trying hard to expand their user base by introducing new schemes and plans regularly. Amazon, an online e-commerce company, has recently unveiled a new membership program called Amazon Prime Lite to increase its customer base in India.
Prime Lite is a more affordable and user-friendly variation of their well-known Prime subscription service. In order to be more cost-effective for subscribers, the new Prime Lite membership plan has certain modifications from the standard Prime membership plan, but it nevertheless delivers practically identical features. Earlier, this was made available for a few users but now everybody can use this subscription.
Pricing of Amazon Prime Lite Subscription
In India, Amazon Prime Videos offers a variety of subscription packages with varying features and costs. The Rs. 299 monthly package comes with all Prime advantages. The Rs 599 quarterly plan offers the same advantages and Rs 78 in quarterly savings. The Rs 1,499 annual plan includes all perks and over a year, saves Rs 337 in comparison to the quarterly plan and Rs 649 in comparison to the monthly plan. The 999 plan, however, does not include Amazon Music. The Rs 599 plan also does not include Amazon Music and offers standard basic features.
Amazon Prime Lite Subscription Features
Amazon Prime Lite subscription offers free two-day and standard delivery, and there is also the choice of No-Rush shipping, which will provide you with Rs 25 cashback. Additionally, as part of the membership, Amazon gives a 5 percent reward on purchases made on their India website using an Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card; digital and gift card purchases earn 2 percent cash back instead. Through Prime Video, subscribers may watch as many films, TV series, and videos as they want in HD with no advertisements on up to two devices. Additionally, the subscription provides early access to discounts, deals of the day, and more on the Amazon India website.
Regular Amazon Prime subscribers, on the other hand, have access to fast delivery choices like one-day, planned, and same-day delivery. For some products, there may even be a morning delivery option. Regular Amazon Prime also provides Prime Reading and Amazon Music, two extra services. Additionally, Prime subscribers have access to ad-free, 4K video on up to six devices with Prime Video. Additionally the users also get unique benefits like cost-free EMI, free screen replacement, and special gaming deals.
Overall, Amazon Lite has a few advantages, but mostly it is a little less giving as compared to regular Amazon Prime.
