The legendary and fan favourite singer Lata Mangeshkar who was known as the ‘Queen of Melody’ and the ‘Nightingale of India’ left the world in February, 2022. The singer has lent her voice to many prominent female superstars like Sridevi, Nargis, Waheeda Rehman, Madhuri Dixit, Kajol, Preity Zinta and many others.

She passed away on 6 February 2022 due to a multi-organ failure in Mumbai. She breathed her last in Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. She is survived by her 3 sisters – Usha Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Meena Khadikar and brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar.
