Another Punjabi Song Ruined? Harrdy Sandhu’s ‘Kya Baat Ay’ Remade For Govinda Naam Mera

There was a time when Bollywood was known for masala movies and melodrama, but now, all we hear about B-town is the boycott trend and the overutilized trend of remaking already-hit songs. Bollywood has once again remade a well-known and much-loved Punjabi song. And this time it is Harrdy Sandhu’s Kya Baat Ay for Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming movie Govinda Naam Mera. 

Just like many other remakes, the title of this new Bollywood Punjabi song is Kyaa Baat Haii 2.0 and has started garnering reviews and responses from the fans. And not only maximum fans have disliked the songs, but compared it badly with the original track. 

The Bollywood version of this superhit Punjabi song is sung by the original singer Harrdy Sandhu and with him, Nikhita Gandhi has given her vocals to it. Released under the label of Sony Music India, Tanishq Bagchi is also a part of the making of this project.

Now coming to the credits of the film; Govinda Naam Mera, stars Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani in the leading roles. The film is written and directed by Shashank Khaitan and will be released on 16 December on Disney Plus Hotstar.
