Ranveer Singh took the Internet down as he went for a naked photoshoot for a Paper magazine recently.
The photos went viral before Ranveer uploaded them on his official Insta account.
Mumbai Police, on July 25, received two applications to register an FIR against actor Ranveer Singh.
The charges mentioned in the application were for "hurting sentiments of women" by posting nude photos online.
A female lawyer & an office-bearer of an NGO 'Shyam Mangaram foundation' filed the complaint at the Chembur police station.
According to her, the actor has offended women's modesty & damaged their feelings through his nude images.
She urged to file a case against the actor on the IT Act & different sections of the IPC.
The police officials said that "We received applications from a person associated with an NGO & a woman lawyer, on Monday in this matter."
"No FIR has been registered so far. We are enquiring," the officials added.
An investigation was requested in the appeal made by the lawyer against Ranveer
