On July 28, Google & Apple removed one of the most popular battle royale mobile game BGMI from their respective app stores.
Google has revealed why they have removed BGMI from the play store.
They revealed that they had strict orders from the Government of India to
remove this game.
BGMI was an Indian version of world popular battle game PUBG & it was released last year with extra security features.
PUBG Mobile was banned by the Government of India almost two years ago in 2020.
The reason behind that was TenCent's close contacts with the Chinese government.
Meanwhile Krafton India, has asked for some clarity on the issues that have led to the removal of the games.
They have also asked for some clarity on the regulations they broke (if any).
Krafton has also backed Indian startups including Nodwin Gaming, Loco, Pratilipi & Kuku FM in the past 1½ years.
Users who had the games installed on their devices can still play & enjoy BGMI.
