Director-producer Rajan Shahi has been in the headlines ever since he terminated lead actors Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe from ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’.
Recently, Rajan spoke in detail about their removal from ‘Telly Talk India’. During this time, he said that Pratiksha had started throwing tantrums at the production unit and even left when the director told her how to do a scene.
Apart from this, Rajan Shahi also talked about Hina Khan being thrown out of the show. The actress was associated with this show for 6 years and through this she became a household name. Rajan Shahi revealed that she had started having problems in the last few months. Due to which she had to leave the show.
Talking about Hina Khan’s termination, Rajan Shahi told that there was a problem of time. Besides, the actress also interfered in the script.
Rajan said that hundreds of such incidents took place, which created rift and bitterness. After which Hina and Rajan Shahi had to have a meeting with the channel. Then both of them decided to part their ways. But after that things went wrong.
Recalling an incident, Rajan Shahi said, that One day, the shooting was going on and Hina did not want to speak some lines, which was in support of Shivangi Joshi’s character Naira. Hina interfered in the script and refused to say those lines. That day he told her that she would have to do the scene the same way, when she did not agree, so he told her to either shoot or leave the set.
Rajan further said that she sat in the make-up room the whole day and at night when she left the set, she was given a message that her services had been terminated and she was no longer required to come to the set.
However, the next day she came and shot the scene as it was written. But Rajan had lost his temper with them. So at the time of packing up she was again told that she no longer had any association with the show and would not continue further.
Rajan Shahi further revealed that he had removed the six scenes that Hina Khan had shot with Shivangi that day. The producer said that after Hina’s exit, it took the team three days to resume work and everything was fine. There was also a good jump in the TRP of the show.
