When Maninder Buttar’s song “Yari Badi Sokhi Tod Gyi” was released, and everyone was loving it, Maninder met Raftar. Raftar praised Buttar and said that your songs are very beautiful, and let me know if you ever need my rap.
Then when Butter made this song, he called Raftar and Raftar remembered everything he said, so he immediately said yes for the song.

ਜਦੋਂ ਗੱਲ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਮਿਊਜ਼ਿਕ ਤੇ ਗੀਤਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਮਨਿੰਦਰ ਬੁੱਟਰ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਦੇ ਗਾਣੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਹੁਣ ਵੀ ਮਨਿੰਦਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਗਾਣਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ ਓਹਨਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਗੀਤ, ਗੱਲ ਗੋਰੀਏ ਬਾਰੇ।
ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨਿੰਦਰ ਬੁੱਟਰ ਦਾ ਗਾਣਾ, ਯਾਰੀ ਬੜੀ ਸੌਖੀ ਤੋੜ ਗਈ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ, ਓਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਓਹਨਾ ਦੀ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਹੋਈ ਰਫਤਾਰ ਨਾਲ। ਰੱਫਤਾਰ ਨੇ ਬੁੱਟਰ ਦੀ ਤਾਰੀਫ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਗਾਣੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਆ, ਜੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਰੈਪ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੋਏ ਤਾਂ ਦੱਸੀ।
ਫੇਰ ਬੁੱਟਰ ਨੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਗੱਲ ਗੋਰੀਏ ਬਣਾਇਆ, ਫੋਨ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਰਫਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ, ਤੇ ਰਫਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਹੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਯਾਦ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹਨਾ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਝੱਟ ਪੱਟ ਇਸ ਗਾਣੇ ਲਈ ਹਾਂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
